Yes, we are a registered supplier of number plates with the DVLA – therefore all number plates supplied by Number Plates Express are fully road legal.
Number plates must comply with specific regulations regarding font, size, and spacing under the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. Altering the spacing to make a plate spell out a word, name, or phrase is illegal.
No, 3D and 4D number plates are legal in the UK, provided they comply with the regulations set by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and meet the British Standards (BS AU 145e) – which all plates supplied by Number Plates Express do so.
No, we do not sell private number plates. We specialize in selling replacement number plates that comply with legal standards for vehicles already registered with existing registration numbers. If you’re looking for replacement plates for your vehicle, we’re happy to assist!
Orders placed before 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday, will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched the following day. For orders submitted on Saturday or Sunday, dispatch will occur on the following Monday.
We offer two delivery options:
Royal Mail 48: Typically arrives within 2-3 working days, but delivery may take up to 5 working days.
Royal Mail 24: Typically arrives next working day, but can take up to 2-3 working days.
Royal Mail Special: Usually delivered the next working day.
Please note that once your order is dispatched, we have no control over potential delays, as these are the responsibility of the courier. However, if your delivery is delayed, we’ll do our best to assist and resolve the issue promptly
No, replacement number plates are sent without pre-drilled holes because the positioning of drill holes varies depending on the make and model of your vehicle. For easy installation, we recommend using our sticky pads, which allow you to attach the plates without drilling. Alternatively, you can opt for our fixing kit, which includes all the necessary screws and caps to securely attach your new plates.
